Abstract

The Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) is an indicator of the latest economic development produced by the Central Statistics Agency through the Consumer Tendency Survey (STK). ITK is a composite index of household perceptions of consumer economic conditions and consumer behavior in the current economic situation and forecasts in the coming quarter.

STK respondents are a sub-sample of the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) specifically in urban areas. The sample selection is carried out on an inter-quarterly panel to obtain a more accurate picture of changes in consumer perceptions between times.
