Abstract

The economic condition of consumers in Kalimantan Timur Province in the second quarter of 2016 has increased marked by the increase in the value of the Consumer Tendency Index to 112.69. The improvement of consumer economic condition in the second quarter of 2016 was caused by the general increase in the three variables of ITK compilers, namely income and less influential inflation on household consumption, as well as the volume of consumption of goods / services. There was an increase in the value of ITK about 10 points indicating that the consumer optimism increased when compared to the previous quarter (102.40).
The value of ITK of Kalimantan Timur Province in the upcoming quarter III-2016 is estimated at 106.67. Although the amount is above 100 which means that consumer economic condition is predicted to increase compared to second quarter-2016, but the level of consumer optimism fell 6.02 points compared to second quarter-2016.
