Abstract

  • The economy of Kalimantan Timur Province in Quarter I-2019 calculated based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of the current price had reached Rp 165.12 trillion, while GRDP of constant prices of 2010 had reached Rp 120.97 trillion.
  • The economy of Kalimantan Timur in Quarter I-2019, when compared against Quarter I-2018, grew by 5.36 percent (y-on-y), which was higher than the figure of Quarter I-2018 which grew by 1.77 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth y-on-y was achieved by the Construction Category which grew by 16.14 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Government Consumption Expenditure component which reached 16.29 percent.
  • The economy of Kalimantan Timur in Quarter I-2019, when compared against Quarter IV-2018 grew by 0.90 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest q-to-q growth in Quarter I-2019 was achieved by the Electricity and Gas Procurement Category which grew by 2.93 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the components of Non-Profit Organization Consumption Expenditure at 7.60 percent.
