August 2018, Exports Reach US $ 1.40 Billion, Imports Reach US $ 0.54 Billion

Abstract

The export value of Kalimantan Timur Province in August 2018 reached US $ 1.40 billion or decreased by 14.03 percent compared to exports in July 2018. Meanwhile, when compared to August 2017 it decreased by 4.05 percent.
Exports of oil and gas goods in August 2018 reached US $ 0.24 billion, down 9.96 percent compared to July 2018. While non-oil / gas goods exports in August 2018 reached US $ 1.15 billion, down 14.85 percent compared to July 2018.
Cumulatively, the export value of Kalimantan Timur Province for the period of January-August 2018 reached US $ 12.06 billion, up 8.03 percent compared to the same period in 2017.
Of all exports from January to August 2018, oil and gas exports reached US $ 2.18 billion, up 20.32 percent and non-oil and gas goods reached US $ 9.88 billion, an increase of 17.22 percent over the same period in 2017.
The import value of Kalimantan Timur Province in August 2018 reached US $ 0.54 billion, an increase of 67.21 percent compared to imports in July 2018. While compared to August 2017 it increased by 136.72 percent.
Imports of oil and gas goods in August 2018 reached US $ 0.41 billion, up 66.96 percent compared to July 2018. While non-oil / gas goods imports in August 2018 reached US $ 0.13 billion, an increase of 67.96 percent compared to July 2018.
Cumulatively the import value of Kalimantan Timur Province for the period of January-August 2018 reached US $ 2.90 billion, an increase of 50.45 percent compared to the same period in 2017. Of all imports for the period of January-August 2018, imports of oil and gas goods reached US $ 2, 08 billion or an increase of 45.72 percent and non-oil and gas goods reached US $ 0.82 billion or an increase of 64.02 percent.
Kalimantan Timur's trade balance in August 2018 was a surplus of US $ 0.86 billion, smaller than the surplus in July 2018 of US $ 1.30 billion. While cumulatively, the trade balance of the Kalimantan Timur Province in the January-August 2018 period was a surplus of US $ 9.16 billion.
